For General Studies teacher Hector, it is to make pupils think for themselves, to ignite a passion for something that can sustain them throughout their lives. Offered by the new substitute, Mr. Irwin, are techniques that are most likely to impress a bored examiner. The precocious grammar school boys chase the Holy Grail for a creme-de-la-creme career path, passing an Oxbridge entrance exam.
