WIELS, the Brussels Contemporary Art Center and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, are proud to present a major solo exhibition of the sculptor Alina Szapocznikow (1926-1973). This important event is one of the first large-scale retrospectives dedicated to this artist outside of Poland. It is organized to coincide with the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
