Dutch-born artist Jacobina Trump studied five years at the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, Holland. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, she became a teacher at the same institution. Her professional path lead her to the experience of being a stage set designer, photographer and art director, and her current career as a teacher and fine art painter.
In 1995 she moved to Miami and became an American citizen. At the same time she started to work as a fine art painter, learning from nature as an artist in residence at the Manasota Beach Club in Englewood, Florida, where she now lives and teaches at the Englewood Art Center, a division of the Ringling College of Art and Design.
My way of learning is through experience. Life experiences settle deeply into the human level of consciousness and this way you can never “un-learn” things. The challenges I encountered on my path I have been solving with growing spir...
